How much does it cost to sit an IGCSE privately?

Current published whole-subject prices in ExamCompare's Summer 2027 data run from £200 to £400. The exact fee depends on the subject, board and centre, with practical science, speaking, performance and coursework services potentially priced separately.

“IGCSE Maths” is not a complete booking instruction. Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge use different specification codes, and some subjects have more than one route. Check the qualification title and code from your course provider before comparing centres.

ExamCompare only treats a fee as exact when a centre publishes a usable whole-subject price for the selected board and subject. Practical science, speaking, performance and coursework services are not silently added to a written-route price.

Can a private candidate sit an IGCSE?

Yes, if the centre accepts your exact board and specification and can arrange every required component.

Is IGCSE the same as GCSE?

No. Keep them separate when choosing a board, checking the timetable and calculating the fee.

Can I mix GCSE and IGCSE entries?

Yes. Add both qualifications to one calculator basket to find centres with a complete published total for the combination.
